Summary
-Firstly, Surveymonkey was a very proficient tool for this task. It eased accessibility by utilising Web 2.0, and aided collecting and analysing results as they are all in one place, and even provides graphs giving an automatic overall conclusion from each question.
-The questionnaire was largely successful:
-Feedback consolidated our knowledge of what our strengths are, such as the composition of shots and visual motif of fire.
-Feedback overwhelmingly concluded that our costume definitely has connotations of rebellion and youth, tapping into Dyer's star image.
-71% argued a purely narrative music video is more interesting than a performance based one, giving us a solid basis on which to justify our video.
-Feedback showed us that a vibrant colour scheme taps into the initial lyrics of the song ('take an adderall'), as well as the wonderland-esque feel we are aiming for.
-Pull focus shots dominated the answers for most interesting shots.
-Answers to question 6 conclusively reveals our music video and digipak have clear links.
-Slow-motion proved to be a tool welcomed by our audience, but worries about it slowing down the pace of the video mean we have decided to only implement slow motion in parts.
-The variation in answers to question 9 reveals the 'open' nature of our text, something we were aiming for, tapping into Barthes' 'Death of the Author' (1967.)
