We made immense progress with titles this week. Taking inspiration from Kendrick Lamar's 'These Walls', we have used the titles to add to the narrative nature of our music video.
I also believe the style is very cinematic and complements our colour grading and use of letterboxing.
Titles were implemented using the 'T', and centralised using the tool below:
-We downloaded a fire crackling sound from freesound.org and inserted it with the titles at the start of our video, to compliment the tagline - 'A tragic enlightment' and hint to the audience what connotations I aimed for in constructing the tagline.
Edited swimming pool scene
-We have edited the swimming pool scene, using the trimming tool in particular to ensure continuity in shots such as walking with the girl towards the table.
-We are very happy with how it looks, it will look even better after it has been coloured graded.
-This leaves us with only one scene to film - the one prior to the swimming pool.
White flash
-Once again, the slow nature of fire meant we have used a white flash to result in the enlightenment of fire looking very professional, and also having connotations of her explosive nature.
Post-filmic effects
-Ben implemented letterboxing and desaturated colour grading for our rough cut:
